Tonight was game night. We gather together as a family and have good food, fun, and conversation. We play Wii bowling and make fun of ourselves while doing it. So, for the dinner portion, I decided to make baked spaghetti. In the kitchen with me was my sidekick and granddaughter Abrianna.

Preparing baked spaghetti is not rocket science so I won’t go through making a sauce recipe. Everyone makes sauces differently, so use your favorite store-bought sauce or make it from scratch. Whichever will be great.

My personal preference is to use fresh herbs and vegetables to brighten store bought spaghetti sauce. I had different types of pasta also. If I were making this for a special occasion, I would have used one kind of pasta, but it’s family, so they got a mixture of whatever I had leftover.

Chopping peppers, onions and garlic.

Browning ground beef.


Sauteeing the veggies in olive oil.

Add meat to veggies.


Add favorite pasta sauce to mixture


Drain pasta


Mix together two egg yolks and parmesan cheese until thick and creamy. Add to warm pasta noodles


Layer pasta, meat sauce, mozzarella cheese until desired level is reached. I did two layers for the size casserole dish I had.


Ready for oven.
